About the event
Join a unique and immersive experience where art and yoga meet. Melt into restful and nourishing yin postures surrounded by beautiful art by Sydney Artist Catherin Bennett.
The practice will begin with gentle breathing to calm your nervous system and allow you to feel safe and settled into the space. You will then enjoy several long-held yin postures designed to unravel tension, release physical stress, and help you to experience balance, acceptance, security, and ease within your body and mind. With the cold season coming, this practice will help you to feel grounded while nourishing and circulating your Qi (energy) to build immunity and awaken dormant energy.
Within the last 15 minutes of the practice, Mindy will guide you through a Yoga Nidra meditation. You will be transported to a place of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep for deep relaxation. Creating space to rest is essential to reflect, receive, restore, and return to ourselves.Â
All bodies are welcome, and your experiences and emotions will be held in a compassionate space.Â
Tea will be served after the session while Catherin shares stories behind her latest exhibition.
Please come in comfortable clothing. BYO mat and props that will help you feel comfortable in the space, such as pillows, bolsters, blankets, or blocks.
