The Unconscious, Symbolism & Transformation
Australia: Catherin Bennett is a Sydney-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the unconscious through surreal, symbolic, and evolving forms.
Drawing on surrealist traditions, dream imagery, esoteric knowledge, and Rorschach-inspired processes, her works emerge through intuition, chance, and material transformation. Forms shift between recognition and ambiguity, inviting personal interpretation and sustained engagement.
Working across figurative, abstract, and mixed-media approaches, Bennett creates works that blur the boundaries between the seen and unseen.
She is the founder of CX2Art, an artist-led contemporary platform supporting international female artists and diverse contemporary perspectives.
